I’m back! A few pounds lighter, many hours sleep deprived, but feeling pretty good and excited to get back into the full swing of things.
Before I get to my main topic today, big thanks are owed to many of you.
- To all my current and former colleagues for their kindness and generosity: Thank you.
- To everyone who provided words of encouragement and support leading up to the birth of my son: Thank you.
- To everyone who wrote a guest post while I was out: Thank you.
- For everyone else, thank you for still reading this newsletter week after week.
Now to today’s brief topic:
When I read a great book, I like to share it with other folks who will enjoy it. I just finished John Carreyrou’s Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup. Link here.
In his book, John highlights the rise and fall of Theranos, the Silicon Valley blood testing company that was once worth about $9B. I found it to be a well-written, detailed and a fascinating/horrifying story.
I highly recommend it.
Have a great weekend everyone!
