Hype and Fyre

I have a brilliant concept to help promote my VIP Scooter business.

I’m going to throw an exclusive and luxurious music festival, set in a tropical paradise, and call it “Hype.”  Get your tickets now before they sell out, they are only $20K, a steal given the all-star lineup we are going to have as performers!

My inspiration for this idea was partially inspired by the Fyre festival, a similar style event, which gained national attention after virally imploding.

I’ve been studying the recently released documentaries on Hula and Netflix, which basically provide a playbook for how to pull this off.  There are just three things I need:

First, no one has ever referred to me as a Steve Jobs or Elon Musk.  I need to work on cultivating my visionary persona, so I can establish a cult-like following, who will agree to do illegal or at the very least borderline unethical things for me because they don’t want to miss out on the chance to be the next “Paypal mafia” or original Apple team.

Second, I need to find a B-list, largely irrelevant celebrity to be my co-founder to help promote the event.  It would be preferable if said celebrity has been to jail for financial related issues to build credibility with investors.

Third, I need to find investors who will get jazzed at the chance to partner with the B-list celebrity and the next visionary CEO.  It would be ideal if investors will commit massive amounts of capital and require zero visibility into where I’m spending the money or why I’m launching a business to promote another business.

Once I secure these three things, I’ll have all the ingredients for creating the most epic music festival of all time to promote my VIP scooter business, which doesn’t exist yet.

Have a great weekend everyone!
